This is why I picked my book

I have recently have got into war books because the they are very interesting.  The never have a common theme to them. Unlike in super hero books you know that the super hero will never die.  In war books anyone could die sat any time.   This always keeps you on your feet while reading the book.  My dad reads a ton of war books because he has a lot of friends that were in the military.  One of his friend's actually wrote a book, but I didn't think it was very good. I also wanted to read this because I watched a 60 minutes interview with the author.

 

Lone Survivor

So far I am really like Lone Survivor.  My dad suggested it to me because he reads a lot of war books.  I actually started to write this blog and 60 Minutes started to a interview with the author over this book.  The this book actual takes place over in Afghanistan with seal team 10.  If you don't know anything about the seal teams, you should know that they are one the most important parts of or military.  Marcus Luttrell is the person talking the whole time.  The mission goes bad and everything goes down hill. Dallas Morning News says "Every bit as thrilling as Black Hawk Down and, unexpectedly, quite moving."-Dallas Morning News. This quote got me so excited to start reading.

Fahrenheit 451

This book date has not happened yet.  I think it will be a extremely long time before this happens because our way of government is so much different than there's. The way our government is now is less a extremist government and way more a free country.  This book is defiantly placed in the US.  If it was in New England then you would hear some British slang words but you don't.  If I had to pick a place where the book happens the most I would not be able to put in one place.  I would have to pick in between the firehouse, faber's house or in the woods.  Comment where you think the main setting in the whole book is.

This is a really good blog because I hit almost all the requirements.  I have the theme and some specific details. But I could have shown how Ender is changing the whole book and never has one personality.  I also could have said how Ender in the whole book is trying to balance being good and being bad.  The rest of the blog is pretty good.  

What I struggled with blogging the most was to remember to do it.  That is why I always did it in the morning.  I think that some of my blogs were not their best because I had to rush in the morning.  I could have overcome this and did them the day after they were assigned. But I didn't and my grade suffered a little because of it.  When I read then right away blogged about it, I did my best work.  Those blogs if really liked reading but if it was one of my short ones I didn't even liked reading those.  It was easy for me to blog about my cross-country meets but then I was not allowed to do that so that made free post a lot harder for me.  I would say that I was best when I did not rush through the post.

Book Recommendations

Ender's Game is a great book.  It is a little confusing at first but once you get into it is really clear.  I really like Ender's Game.  I don't really like reading very much but once in a while I find a really good book.  Ender's Game was one of them.  If you like the Hunger Game series you will like this book.  Ender is a boy who was selected to be a general of the army.  He fights the other army called Buggers.  You better read this book pretty fast Ender's Game in about to become a movie.

Tone and Mood

In the book Ender's game Ender has a tone that he is extremely intense.  He is always trying to do good stuff but he usually dose the bad thing for a good reason.  He always fells bad for hurting people.  He is so stressed out too.  One time he bit his own hand so hard that it started to bleed.  But the mood of the book is serous.  He dose not let people push him around at all.  In the first chapter he was getting bullied a little bit but then he was not going to take it anymore and he beat his bully to death.  All of his friends are kind of sacred him now because of his tone.

Enders Game about a boy who was selected by the mitary to save the world.  He has a monitor that lets the head of milarty to see every thing he doses.  Teh boys name is Ender.  Ender has a brother peter and a sister  Valentine.  Peter is mad that Ender was picked to have the monitor because then Ender gets to be the leader of all the armies.  Peter realy hates Ender and is scared of him.  Valentine is very different from Peter.  She is realy nice and she protects Ender from Peter.  Ender is sent off to a Abttle camp.  This is realy far away from earth.  He starts to make freinds and starts to fit in with the our lauchies.  Ender is put in the leadership of a army and he wins some battles but then he is putin leadrship of the haed army.  Now i am going to stp before I ruin the end of the book.

Kings Cross-Country Meet

On Tuesday i ran a cross-country meet at kings i did preaty well.  I like hills alot but sadly this crouse had no hills.  I didn't realy want to run this meet because it was after a school day.  No one likes running after school because your are realy sore from sitting all day. and you are realy tired.  I ended up in 30th place.  Which is good because it is out of 200.

Characters

In the book in Enders Game  Ender is the main character.  He is very complex character because he is as much a killer as his brother.  But he can be as nice as his sister.  Ender is a exserament by adults.  You can see him as a vitcum of the exserament or as a brillant kid from the exseranment.  Ender was put in charge of a army by the time he was nine years old. Ender relises that sometimes you have to play games that you dont want to play.

Cross-country Meet

It started at 6:30 when i had to get up to get realy for my meet that day.   I gather my spikes and running flats, socks and i am ready to go.  Now i am off to the middle at 7:15 to leave for Kentuky.  I get there and we load th buses right away.  It was 50 min drive but it felt just 20 min we were jamming.  Wen we got there we went and warmed up.  then our race it was hard and had a lot of hills but i did good.  I came in 33rd out of like 200 kids.  But then we left.  My caoch was preaty happy with us beacuse we won our race.

In chapter 2 it is all about his big brother Peter.  He is a realy bad kid, he very evil.  But he happens to be realy smart.  At the end of the chapter he starts to think that he is going to turn into Peter.  He starts to think that because he beat up on that kid at the school.  He beat up the kid so bad.

Ender's Game: 1

I read the first chapter of Ender's Game: 1.  So far i think i am going to like it  a whole lot.  My brother recommended it to me.  At fist i was a little confused what was going on and what in the world was the setting.  But i started to pick up on what was going on.  The main charter Ender was special to the rest on the kids in the class.  He was has a third and he and his monitor in way longer than the rest on the other kids.  He was a government test to see if he kept the monitor in longer that would make him smarter but so far it did not work.  So he got his monitor token out.  The monitor is a box right on the back of his neck.  The doctor told him that when he takes out the monitor it should not hurt at all.  But Ender knew that was a lie.  "The doctor was twisting something at the back of Ender's head.  Suddenly a pain stabbed  through him lie a needle from his neck to his groin.  Ender felt his back spasm, and his body arched violently backward; his head struck the bed"(card).

A man in Westwood owned a super rare Ferrari.  This Ferrari is worth 25 to 30 million dollars.  That has the possibility to be the most expensive car ever sold at auction.  The man who owned it in Westwood is dead now and the reason this car is a big deal now is because the car mysterisal showed up at a auction.  The relatives realized that was there car.  Someone had stolen it off one of the lots that was in Westwood.  But that man who originally owed it was not a dumb guy he expected something lie this to happen so he took parts off the car hid them in his adutic.

Practice post Into Thin air

I read over the summer In to Thin Air.  The characters that impacted the theme of the story the most were Jon Krakauer and Sandy Pittman.  Jon Krakauer was the narrator and the author of the story.  He was guided on the mountain Rob Hall and Andy Harris.  Rob Hall was a extremely famous mountain climber.  Jon Krakauer was very important to Rob Hall because Jon was going to write a article about the Everest trip which would get Rob many new clients.  Sandy Pittman was going to tell NBC all about the trip up Everest  for their website.  She had Shepard drag her up some of the mountain because she was to tired to move. Her arcticle would make money for all the guides because they would get more clients.
